Monika Shergill is a media executive and content leader serving as the Vice President of Content at Netflix India, where she oversees the development, production, and acquisition of Indian-language films, series, and documentaries for the platform. Before joining Netflix, she worked with major media organizations including Viacom18 Digital Ventures and Star India, building experience in digital entertainment and television content strategy. A former journalist and documentary filmmaker, Shergill began her career in the 1990s creating documentaries and reporting on social and environmental issues. Under her leadership, Netflix India has released several acclaimed titles such as Delhi Crime, Guns & Gulaabs, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, and Darlings.
