Raja Kumari (born Svetha Yallapragada Rao on January 11, 1986) is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter known for blending Indian classical influences with hip-hop. Born into a Telugu family in Claremont, California, she trained in Kuchipudi, Kathak, and Bharatanatyam before discovering hip-hop as a child. She gained recognition for co-writing Centuries by Fall Out Boy and collaborating with artists like Gwen Stefani, Iggy Azalea, Fifth Harmony, and Divine. A three-time MTV European Music Awards nominee, she has also served as a judge on MTV Hustle and starred in Gully Boy. Raja Kumari launched her independent label, Godmother Records, in 2022 and continues to push boundaries with global collaborations, including tracks with KSHMR and Stefflon Don.
