in 2014, Prashasti joined Star India’s Mumbai office as Assistant Manager – Marketing. Prashasti took up stand-up comedy as a part-time job. For 8 months, she juggled between her corporate job and stand-up comedy. In 2018 Prashasti got a chance to participate as a contestant in the first season of Comicstaan, a stand-up comedy competition created for Amazon Prime Video. Prashasti managed to win the 2nd runner-up position. After realizing that she could earn decent income, she quit her corporate job to pursue a career in comedy.
