Sonia Parasnis

Vice President, Creative & Content Programming

Sonia heads content programming for Hungama across its music and video verticals. Her creative expertise has led the company to launch several original shows and properties, in addition to reinventing its day-to-day programming for enhanced consumer engagement.

Prior to Hungama, Sonia has worked at Hindustan Times Media Ltd. where she was driving the flagship station Fever 104FM. While with HT Media Ltd. she also crafted the launch of Radio Nasha across India and was the voice of the station to boot.

Internationally, Sonia has spearheaded operations in the Middle East with Arab Media Group’s radio vertical: Arabian Radio Network and was driving programming & creative for its Asian Services. Under her leadership the channels have won the best station awards from leading publications like Time OuT & Ahlan! Masala and more. Starting out as a writer with Times Entertainment, Sonia has also been an on-air presenter with Radio City Delhi. She graduated from the first creative batch at MICA and has an honours degree in sociology from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
