Soma Ghosh is a renowned Indian Hindustani classical singer from the Banaras gharana, known for her mastery in genres such as Thumri, Dadra, Kajri, Chaiti, Tappa, and Ghazal.
Born and raised in Varanasi, she is a protégé of Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan, with whom she performed several notable jugalbandi concerts, gaining national recognition.
She was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri in 2016 for her contribution to Indian classical music and continues to promote traditional music globally through performances, recordings, and cultural initiatives.
